ALL ARE WELCOME!
A community building conference, exploring the inherent oneness of humanity and a universal call to work for the betterment of the world. Over 10,000 conferences, sponsored by local Bahá’í communities, are being convened around the world this spring to foster conversations on improving community life by working together in harmony and cooperation.
This conference draws upon Bahá’u’lláh's teachings about the oneness of humanity, and its role in social progress and racial unity. Attendees can expect a gathering that welcomes diverse cultures in unity and loving fellowship. There will be presentations, small group discussions, devotions, music, food and more. Families are especially welcome, as are young adults and teens. Special programs will be offered for children.

Baha’is in Plano wish to invite our friends, family members, neighbors and coworkers to help by joining together to envision strong, healthy and vibrant communities. For Baha’is, these communities would be based on Baha’u’llah’s teachings that we are “the waves of one sea, the flowers of one garden.” These principles – for principles they are, not just nice platitudes – underlie some of the basic building blocks of the community Baha’is hope to see. These building blocks include, but are not limited to: equality between women and men; the abolition of prejudice of all kinds; the harmony of science and religion; and economic justice built on spiritual principles. Baha’is are working to put these building blocks in place not only in their interactions with each other, but also in their daily lives and in activities that provide service to members of the wider community, no matter their age.
This participatory conference is designed to be a joyful and unifying gathering that incorporates music, art, and conversation to uplift participants and help them be agents of change in their own neighborhoods and communities. The beauty of unity in diversity and the oneness of humanity will be celebrated. Discussions will explore what a just, peaceful and flourishing world might look like. Attendees are invited to share the work that they are doing to build vibrant communities and contribute to social transformation.
From the large and small group discussions, attendees will gain insight and understanding of this vision and see how it might take physical and practical shape in our communities. Expect prayers, music, the arts and happy sharing during this part of the conference.
Throughout the event, participants will be invited to discuss how far our society has come and encourage the creation of bonds of love and camaraderie as part of a global effort to create vibrant communities all around us. It’s a great opportunity to explore how spiritual and material progress go hand-in-hand and to understand the urgency of becoming involved to address all facets of humanity: children, junior youth, youths and adults. We are all in this together and we invite all of our friends, neighbors and co-workers to join us.
